River Road Wine Trail

Our renters are always very, pleasantly surprised upon returning from this spectacular drive. If driving is what you want to do and you’d like to add impressive views of the famous “Salad Bowl of the World”, Salinas Valley to your must-see list, this is the drive for you! Not only is River Road a beautiful, (freshly paved) country road it is also home to many of the vineyards and wineries that grow and make Monterey County wines. Precious Pacific Grove

The drive from Monterey to Cannery Row to Lover’s Point ending at Asilomar Beach is some of the most beautiful coastline in California. But don’t miss the sweet downtown Pacific Grove! PG (as the locals call it) has been called “Butterfly Town U.S.A.,” “The Most Romantic City in the U.S.,” and “A Dreamy California Destination”. In addition to PG’s scenic beauty, adorable locally-owned shops and restaurants and idyllic neighborhoods are the brightly colored orange-and-black Monarch butterflies, who winter between November and February in Pacific Grove after traveling up to 2,000 miles. A must see!

Pebble Beach & the 17-Mile Drive

Embark on a mystical journey through Pebble Beach in a vintage convertible car. The road stretches out like a ribbon, flanked by castle-like estates on one side and a sapphire sea on the other.  The stretch of 17-Mile Drive from the gates in Pacific Grove to the Carmel Gate is our favorite. Along this route you will have the opportunity to view landmarks such as The Lone Cypress, Point Joe, Bird Rock and the Lodge at Pebble Beach. Be sure to stop in to the visitor Center (near the Lodge). There you can learn more about the history of golf in Pebble Beach, purchase cool souveniers and pick up a picnic lunch to enjoy on their patio with a view!   It’s a magical experience, one that will stay with you forever, a symphony of senses that transcends the boundaries of time and space.

Carmel oozes charm and sophistication. Enjoy cycling along stunning Scenic Road which hugs the Carmel coastline, and is only a few blocks from their shop. Take in the beauty of turquoise blue waters and white powder sand beaches (the most beautiful beach in California is also dog-friendly). Marvel at the windswept Monterey Cypress Trees that line the roads. This area is super hilly, so our ebikes are an ideal way to get around.

They are also the closest bike shop to famed 17-Mile Drive in Pebble Beach. Cycle along this iconic bucket list roadway, stopping for a picnic lunch on one of many stunning beaches, or enjoy dining at one of the Pebble Beach Resorts iconic restaurants. Whatever you choose to do, you are in for a magical experience that will be one of the highlights of your trip to the area.
