Custom Tour Video
Experience your classic car adventure again and again with a custom video of your drive. We will mount the simple, easy to use camera to your vehicle. You may start and stop the video anytime by simply pressing the button. You can even turn the camera towards the view of your choice.
Once you return to Monterey Touring Vehicles, we will plug your camera in to the ViewPoint unit which will provide a printed receipt with a QR code to download your custom video. You may then edit and share your video as you wish. Record your adventure!

Audio Tours
For some folks just seeing the sights is enough, but if you want to learn more about the amazing history and landscape during your drive in a classic rental car then this self-guided, professionally narrated audio tour is the perfect thing.
This location-based app will automatically chime in with facts about points of interest as you drive around Monterey, 17-Mile Drive, and the Big Sur coastline.
Prefer to use a speaker rather than the car’s sound system? We have you covered! Simply request a speaker for your audio tour from our staff when you pick up your rental car.

Custom Tour Videos
How do I use the video camera during my rental?
Our video camera is simple and easy to use. We will mount it to your vehicle, and all you need to do is press the button to start and stop the video recording. You can even adjust the camera to capture the view of your choice.
Can I edit and share the video after downloading it?
Absolutely! Once you have downloaded your custom video, you have full control over editing and sharing it as you wish. If you share on social, don’t forget to tag us (@MontereyTouringVehicles) – we’d love to see your adventure!
How long can the video be?
The cameras have a 3-hour battery life, allowing you ample time to capture your desired footage. As for the videos themselves, you have complete freedom to edit them down to any length you prefer.
Audio Tours
Do I need to take a specific route to enjoy the tour?
The best way to experience the tour is to follow the route we normally suggest for anyone borrowing one of our classics, but it will also work if you take your own path. The tour guide kicks in automatically whenever you approach a point of interest so you’re not locked into a specific route.
Do I need cell service for the tour to work?
Nope! The tour can be downloaded before your trip starts and will work even when you’re in the middle of Big Sur’s cellphone dead zone.
How long is the tour?
Since the tour activates when you reach certain points you get to move at your own pace. If you wanted to explore our entire rental range you’d want a whole day rental, but with a four-hour rental you can still experience many of the points the tour narrates. Access to the tour never expires so you can still get the narration if you re-visit the area.
How does the audio tour work?
When you purchase a tour we’ll send you a link to download the app and a code to unlock the tour. Fire it up when you’re ready for your trip and the app does the rest. Speakers are available upon request if you prefer to not use the speakers in your rental car.
