What to Bring
- Bring your valid driver’s license, sunglasses, and a sense of adventure! We also recommend a phone/camera to capture the views, and layers for changing coastal weather.
Age Requirements
- Renters must be at least 25 years old with a valid U.S. or international driver’s license. Additional drivers 21 years old and older may be added to the reservation. Passengers of all ages welcome!
Weather Policy
- Rentals may be rescheduled or canceled in the event of inclement weather. Please contact us in advance for updates or rescheduling options.
Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations made 48+ hours prior to 7 days before tour departure are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations made within 48 hours 7 days may be subject to a fee are not refundable.
- Upon reserving your car, you will be asked to pay at least 50% of the total rental fees for the period of time you will have the car. This includes a non-refundable processing fee of $49 which covers holding, processing, a full tank of fuel, vehicle orientation, safety inspection and cleaning.
- 7 days prior to the start of your rental period, you will be charged the remaining 50% of your rental fees.
- You may cancel and receive your 50% down payment any time prior to 7 days before your rental period begins.

Yes! With our 2-hour rental tour, you can drive around Monterey, Carmel and the surrounding area. If you want to make it down to Big Sur, try our 4-hour rental experience.

Yes! With our 2-hour rental tour, you will have enough time to complete the 17-mile drive and stop for pictures along the way.
Will I be able to make it to Big Sur and back?

Yes, advance reservations are recommended, especially during weekends and peak travel seasons. Booking early ensures you get your preferred classic car and tour time.
How long does the tour take?
The experience is designed as a 2-hour drive, but since it’s self-guided, you can take your time stopping for photos or snacks along the way. Many guests stretch it slightly longer to enjoy the scenery and charming stops in Carmel or Pebble Beach.
Do I need any prior experience driving a classic car?
Not at all! Our team will walk you through everything you need to know before you hit the road. Each car comes with a full orientation, and our staff is happy to answer any questions to make sure you feel comfortable and confident.
Is there an audio guide available?
Yes! You can upgrade your experience with our optional audio tour, which includes turn-by-turn navigation, local insights, and fascinating stories about the landmarks you’ll pass — from Pebble Beach history to hidden coastal gems.
What happens if the weather is bad?
If weather conditions make driving unsafe, your rental can be rescheduled or canceled. Please contact us as soon as possible for the latest updates or to arrange a new tour time.
What is the cancellation policy?

Cancel 7+ days before your tour for a full refund of your deposit (minus a $49 processing fee).

Where does the tour start and end?
All tours begin at the Monterey Touring Vehicles showroom, conveniently located near downtown Monterey. You’ll return your car there after your drive.
